Fat Melting & Chocolate Storage Tanks

Melting and storage tanks hold the front and middle of a chocolate line steady. Solid fats go in cold and come out melted, stored, and ready to transfer; finished chocolate and cream wait at temperature until the moulding or filling station calls for them.

We build both jobs into stainless-steel vessels with their own heating and insulation, so the mass stays where you set it. The M-1000 melts 1,000 kg of fat per 30 minutes; the M-2000 holds 2,000 kg of chocolate or cream on a serpentine coil with a circulation pump. And when the batch size is different, we build storage tanks from 50 kg to 100 tonnes.

Applications

What it handles

  • Fat and cocoa butter melting for chocolate lines
  • Chocolate and cream storage at temperature
  • Buffer storage between refining and moulding
  • Automatic fat transfer to downstream machines
  • Dairy and cream holding
  • Batch and continuous line feed

Straight answer

What these tanks are not

These are melting, holding, and transfer vessels — not refiners and not temperers. The M-1000 melts and moves solid fats; it does not grind, refine, or reduce particle size, which is the ball mill's job. The M-2000 stores chocolate and cream at temperature with a circulation pump and integrated fan; it holds the mass ready for transfer but does not temper it to moulding crystal on its own. If you need refining or tempering in the same footprint, tell us the product and throughput and we will point you to the right machine rather than oversell the tank.

Questions

Frequently asked

What is the capacity of the M-1000 fat melting tank?
The M-1000 melts 1,000 kg of solid fats per 30 minutes at 8.5 kW. It melts, stores, and transfers the fat from one stainless-steel vessel with its own heating system and thermal insulation. The machine weighs 400 kg and measures L 2200 × W 1000 × H 1500 mm.
How much chocolate does the M-2000 stock tank hold?
The M-2000 holds 2,000 kg of chocolate or cream and runs at 12 kW. It keeps the mass at temperature on a serpentine (jacketed coil) heating system with thermal insulation, a circulation pump, and an integrated fan for efficiency. The tank weighs 950 kg and measures L 1610 × W 1938 × H 1900 mm.
What size storage tanks can you build?
We build storage tanks from 50 kg to 100 tonnes. The catalog M-2000 covers 2,000 kg; above and below that, we size the vessel to your batch, your product, and the space on your floor. Give us the volume and the mass you are storing and we will specify the tank on quotation.
Can the fat melting tank transfer automatically to downstream machines?
Yes. The M-1000 can be fitted with a flow meter for automatic, precise fat transfer to the next machine, alongside optional steam heating and an integrated scale. This lets the melter dose fat into a pre-mixer or refiner without manual weighing.
What material are the tanks made from?
Both tanks are stainless steel with thermal insulation, built for food-contact use and cleaning. Stainless construction holds temperature and stands up to the daily wash-down a chocolate or dairy plant runs. The tanks are engineered and built at our Casablanca facility.
Do you ship melting and storage tanks internationally?
Yes. We build in Casablanca and ship worldwide, with installations across Africa. Destination-market requirements (CE for the EU, SASO/SFDA for Saudi Arabia, and others) are reviewed as part of every quotation.
How long does delivery and installation take?
Lead times are confirmed with each quotation, since a 2,000 kg stock tank and a 100-tonne storage vessel are very different builds. Our engineers handle installation, commissioning, and operator training. Send us your capacity target and timeline and we will confirm both in the quote.
Can these tanks be used for dairy and cream as well as chocolate?
Yes. The M-2000 stores and transfers both chocolate and cream, and the tanks suit dairy holding where a heated, insulated, stainless vessel is needed. For dairy lines specifically, tell us the product and volume so we size the heating and circulation to the mass.
